Bridge Doctor: Any experience?

Post by Slowy »

Has anyone tried/got either of the versions?

Impressions? Who supplies/fits them?

It's starting to look like the most practical fix for a bellied bridge on one of my acoustics.
Don't talk to me about failure; sometimes I even fail to disappoint myself.

I installed one on an early 70s Yamaha FG-200 and it transformed the guitar from barely playable to a lovely, low action guitar.
I didn't notice any change in tone but I pretty much have cauliflower ears.

1958 Fender twin, 1965 Vox AC30, 1966 Marshall JTM 45, 1977 Dumble OD Special.
Big black garbage bag full of original Klon Centaurs and TS808s.

I'm also hoping they work well. I bought a couple (there are 2 different types, I got one of each) from Stewmac. Have not tried them yet. Thought I'd discuss with a competent luthier first. Having looked at how they work, I'd imagine that they might change the tone a little, but not necessarily in a bad way. Somebody on here shared earlier that Breedlove fit them as standard to their US-made guitars

So you got the screw and the brass pin versions?
Would you like to sell me the screw version? :D

I’ve installed one. Worked well m, tone suffered a little. But not much point having good tone and unplayable action.
