Looks pretty close to me! Ironically before GrantB refinished my Strat in Olympic White nitro, it was a yellowy Olympic White Poly!

Ok so after a few mishaps I’ve finally finished it!
For some reason my lacquer layers started peeling off so I had to peel the whole thing off, the paint underneath is a top coat of sorts anyway so after sanding back it’s come up ok. It doesn’t have the yellowing I was hoping for but perhaps looks even better because of it? First attempt at a subtle relic which no one would mistake for a Murphy lab guitar but it certainly gives it a worn in feel that I was hoping for. $300 guitar plus a few cans of paint and some time I’m happy enough with the result.

That'll do. Looks great!
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I’m not really a Strat guy but it’s been fun putting it together and it’s giving me the right sound for testing some of my fuzz pedals. It’s doing everything I want from a Strat and it didn’t cost a lot.
