Peavey Predator strat restoration

Post by ALTOIDS »

I’ve brought a early nineties Made in USA Peavey Predator few years ago for restoration, But never got to work on it until now.

Everything seems to be salvageable except for the saddles.
There’s lot of rust i those I can’t even take out some height adjustment nuts.

Anyone know where to source matching saddles for that guitar locally?

Thanks in advance.
Curiously strong mints.

Seems like that saddle size is bit odd because it’s different to strat saddle sizes.

But I managed take all the height adjustment nuts off. Hopefully strat ones will be compatible.

I made a mistake of not checking electronics properly.
There’s a hum when guitar is plugged in. Kind of goes away when I touch the metal output jack cover, so I assume it’s a earthing issue in the jack?
Also goes away when tones are down to zero.
Any ideas?

BTW here’s the guitar. My first restoration project. :)
