Dogear P90 recommendations

Post by lukewillasick »

Hi
I have a Vintage (brand-not actually vintage) Les Paul Jnr that currently has a p100 pickup in it.
I'm after recommendations for a replacement P90 if anyone has any. Everything I've read points towards the Seymour Duncan Antiquity, but I figured it was still worth asking.
I would say sound wise I would probably be looking more to the hotter side of things, but am interested in opinions of whatever voicing.
I have seen a lot of soapbar options from different manufacturers, are these interchangeable with a dog ear other than the covers? I started down the road of finding this out and managed to see about a million differing answers, so again thought I would throw it out there in hope of a clearer one.

Thanks in advance.

Seymour Duncan Antiquity is great indeed....however when it comes to P90's, it's actually pretty hard to go past the current production Gibson P90. It's twangy and fat!

(the P100 is definitely NOT twangy, and is more "bloated" than fat)!
