Radian to Fano conversion

Post by StratMatt »

So I was watching pedal demos and came across this Fano model:

Which really reminded me of my Radian LP:

I really like the tele bridge pickup and controls, reckon it could come out really cool. I don't think I quite have the skills to take this on, but keen to gather opinions and thoughts from the NZG Massive.

Should I leave as is or go for it?

yes. There are a couple of ways you could make it work

EDIT ... actually looking at the Fano I doubt the tele style bridge plate is long enough to cover the routing for the humbucker and still have it intonate. Thats just based on looking at it. Also it is narrower than the holes where the studs are for the current bridge so you will see any "mod" you do there

shit EDIT again....obviously the pickguard will cover any hangover Routing  ... but you will still see the stud holes unless you want to go hard on a refinish

I think thats it ... I really should look at pictures properly before commenting

This might be an easier way to do it.

Nice looking guitar actually. I saw M5 play (free tix from ex mrs) a few years back and I gotta say, can't fault them musically, especially James Valentine and their bass player. Solid AF.
