Re: Metallica 2025
It does involve jumping through more hoops than necessary. I can say the price we saw when we logged on was the price we paid though, obviously I don't know what it is now or was an hour before but it didn't change while we were doing the transaction... Still wasn't cheap but no more than Maiden or GNR or even Tool if you wanted similar proximity to the stage.

Yep my 12 yr old wants to go but GA isn't happening due to his Autism so we're looking for a row of 4 seats
Lol they're charging and extra 20bucks for an aisle seat

Re: Metallica 2025
I literally don't know how much of this is due to the band and how much is the ticketing agent.

I think you're right Hamo. Pretty sure the pre-sale seats are limited so it's fair and the general public get a shot later on. I reckon they'll announce a 2nd showhamo wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 11:53 am Yeah I reckon they sell out in allocations, rather than actual seats. Plus the ticket companies have some weird version of surge pricing I think, though I know nothing about when or how they apply it.
There's a good chance this one goes in the too-hard basket for me, as much as I'd be disappointed. But I don't want to buy into that kind of fuckery.

Re: Metallica 2025
For that money, you can buy 40 tickets to Cliff Richard's "Can't Stop Me Now" tour. Which would you rather see - Metallica once, or Cliff forty times?
The tour title is a dare. Yes, he could be stopped, if someone lends me a claw hammer and some 4 inch nails.

Re: Metallica 2025
Picked up a couple of seats at the back for $150 each, can't complain. Couldn't be too picky as they were going fast. Figure it's probably the last time they'll come down here so may as well go along. The missus was swayed by the fact Evanescence were supporting, bit of teenage nostalgia
Loving it so far

Re: Metallica 2025
Last night I paid 500 bux for GA1. Didn't want to but the risk of them not announcing another show I thought I better. It's weird because it's almost twice the price as the pre-sales earlier that day

Re: Metallica 2025
We have two seats around block 312. Missus decided that we have to have aisle or close to because of all the bs of getting out of seats at other stadium concerts...

Re: Metallica 2025
We paid $311 and some change for our tickets in the same place (ga1). With it being a year away I didn't think I'd miss it too much when the time comes.

Re: Metallica 2025
Yeah it's not pocket change for sure. I'd set aside $1000 for 2 tickets thinking this is most likely the last chance I'll ever get, and no band means more to me.griff wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 7:51 amIt's a lot of money. From what I've been reading on forums and reports it sounds like they play for 2 and a half hours, ish.

Re: Metallica 2025
I'd love to go GA, but they're $303 and if I go in the stands they're half that. Might be an average view but I'd be able to take my daughter for the same price as just going GA by myself.
