My view from GA would just be the back of some blokes head, so seated works for me. Plus it's usually easier to nip back for beers.
I'm a short-arse at five and a half feet, so I'm in that boat too, but I find that being in the pit often makes a big difference on the overall experience. It's like the difference between spectating and being involved. I'm not really gig-fit anymore though, so maybe seated is just safer!

A nice sit down is priceless
If I end up doing it I will be seated. The mate that I go with who lives up there is keen on the seated thing these days, plus I'm pretty keen to take my oldest, and I'm not shelling out 600 bucks for the two of us.

Cost of the tickets are insane! At what price do fans say no!? I last saw Metallica live about 18 years ago. Would love to see them again, but not at the stupid prices that they're asking for tickets. Plus I'm boycotting TicketMaster because of their stupid booking fee, transaction fee and any other fee that they think they can add to the sale!
Oh and Lars, I'm going to go and find Napster, download all your songs in crappy mp3 format and NOT listen to them! /rant
