Come and punch a shark with us!

The Bull Kelp Surfers are returning to the Riverhead Tavern this Auckland Anniversary Weekend. There will be face-meltingly rad gear on show, including a vintage Gretsch, multiple Jazzmasters, an old P-Bass that will liquify your kidneys, duelling blonde Fender amps, and a mysterious tiki themed percussion island!

No sharks were or will be harmed in the making of this gig

I want to know WHY!

My last real public gig was 2011 at the mission bay jazz and blues thing. Did a few since but regretted it.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

My last non-solo live performance was at the Riverhead. Bloody good venue. And best night of my life. That's me on the acoustic. The other three guys are friends of mine who had literally never met each other prior to getting up on stage. It was an absolute Hail Mary of a performance.

Anyway, have a blast!

We arent letting ben leave us entirely. I've built a Fritzel style bunker that we will shuttle him away to and make him pilot a remote 'Ben-bot' that sets up the PA , fixes feedback and invoices for gigs. Benbot !

Be good to see you Rob. We should get Jason there; he did so well at the Backbeat gig.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I have been given the green light to leave the house, so I may very well see some of you chaps there. Bg would be a cool catchup! :-)
