Was talking about this with a workmate, would be an awesome concert but I won't go.

I finally had to admit that it will be too loud, because I am too old.
The older I get, the more disappointed in myself I become.

Earplugs, at every gig, although the sisters at the powerstation weren't that loud up on the balcony so I didn't bother...

Ha nah just making a joke around that old saying from when we were kids (probably actually from when our parents were kids), "If it's too loud, you're too old".

It's not the volume as such, I have finally come to the conclusion I just don't like going to gigs and concerts anymore.

Not many I go to see these days, mainly people I've not seen and I've always wanted too. So Deacon Blue early December.

Roger Waters always gets me out of my shrine but no-one else.
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

When the fuck did security start roaming the crowd pulling out dudes with spliffs?

The last Foo Fighters concert in Christchurch (yes it has been that long since I attended a big concert) the security team were stalking and ejecting anyone they found smoking non tobacco cigarettes. Far canal, if you can't smoke at a concert???

I don't smoke anymore, 'cause I'm old, but surely I should be able to passively imbibe?

It leaves the concert smell of Tobacco, Dak and BO with just fucking BO, how is that better?
Tin arse!!

Yes. Well that's about what Maiden cost me, and Metallica was around that too.

Which means only having to pay load in/set up/load out once for two shows. Makes them more money than doing another show elsewhere.
Amps:
Soldano SLO100 x2 | Wizard MC1 & MC2 | Diezel Herbert
Fryette Pittbull CL | Marshall 2203KK | Krank Rev 50 | Mesa Mark 2A

Rack stuff:
VHT/Fryette GP3, GP/DI & 2/90/2 | Peters FSM/Chimera
Verellen Meatsmoke | Synergy SYN1 | Mesa Studio

Smaller gigs back then?

Selling out 2 nights at Vector is a bit different to touring 2000 seat venues in the late 90s, or ~5000 seats in early 2000s (that 2002 tool gig at the north shore event centre has to be the worst gig I’ve been to).

Other than those tours have they been here outside a couple of big day outs?
