Fender strat lockdown project

I picked up this guitar to have as a bit of a project over the next few weeks. It's my first fender so excited to see what the fuss is about. I've been prowling for a maple neck and 2 tone burst for a while. Was hoping to give it a bit of a worn look, but this one came already roughed up! It was lis...

Re: Help building my first pedal board

Do you guys recommend dropping a helix effects or stomp on the end of this pedalboard?

A lot of money to invest but would be good to ‘finish ‘ the board and not surf for sale sites so much

Re: Swapping out half the pedalboard for a Helix Effects or similiar?

Looking to add a stomp or fx to my board.
What did you end up getting and which one would you recommend?

Re: Help building my first pedal board

Ok, so I’m a bit further on and a bit poorer with my pedalboard. All cheap copies except delay.
Polytune>Boost>bd2>ocd>Rat>klon>Nemesis delay> looper

I’m looking for a reverb and mod now to finish things up.

Any advice on Ventris or Helix HX stomp?

Re: LTD beater project

Thanks for sharing your experience with the ltd guitar. Do you have any pictures of how yours turned out? Sounds like that epoxy layer would be a whole lot of sanding, or risk using more aggressive sanding As for the binding channel, I was wondering about routing the corner off into a curve? Would h...

Re: LTD beater project

Yeah’ that is a worry for sure. What did you strip back that wasn’t great?

It has a quilted maple top veneer but thought about sanding that off too

LTD beater project

I picked up a MH-350 NT recently and am hoping to project it a bit. I really like the neck through, and the string through body hard tail, but I hate the binding on it I’d like to strip it back to wood and take the binding off Does anyone have experience taking the paint off ESP LTD guitars. I hear ...

Re: Help building my first pedal board

What is a sensible number of distortions?
The suggestions seem to only have a few pedals.
Maybe it's by bogan roots showing but I feel bad leaving different distortions out.

Does anyone have a main board that somehow adds into another home board?

Re: Help building my first pedal board

Thanks for the advice all. I’ve just shelled out for EBS patch cables so hope they will be enough quality. I was really hoping the cheap power supply would be ok, but will consider upgrading that in the future I tried a few of the ideas mentioned and will keep playing over the holidays. The Bad Monk...

Re: Help building my first pedal board

2 votes for the bad monkey already?

It did sound great with the LP jr but seemed to decrease the volume quite a bit. Is there a fix for this?

Also is it a variant of a tubescreamer? Any point swapping it for a mini tubescreamer?

Help building my first pedal board

I've been trying to move past beginner guitarist and have been collecting a few pedals to learn about what they all do. Now I'd like to start planning which ones to keep, so I can afford other toys. I need help to sort out what stays, which are double ups, what I should add, what can stack well etc....
