Re: NGD Gibson LP Jnr

I maintain that an LP Jr, set up well, is possibly the only guitar you'll ever need.

Thankfully, we all know that's rubbish.

Congrats. Really nice looking guitar. I can feel that whole thing vibrating in my hands... :shifty:

Re: Les Paul and Tele tuning stability tips?

It is a thing that some Les Pauls are just biatches for tuning...and some (my '68 RI for eg) rarely go out of tune no matter what you throw at them. But I would suggest the nut is the single biggest factor in the equation. The newer Gibson nylon nuts on historics are really good for tuning, but I wo...

Re: Return of the Gibbons shocker thread!

I have owned Custom's with Richlite and Ebony. Nothing to see or hear of concern. Any issue with it is psychological, which is fine, but the tone argument is null. You're saying tone isn't psychological? No, it’s entirely psychological. I’m saying same ears, same brain, same soul will struggle to i...

Re: HN335D

Nice one Brian! 335 neck removals can be a real biatch. Looks like there's binding botches also? All doable of course...but all time and money too.

How do the Wizz sound in there? I couldn't quite get them to work for me.

My nephew plays guitar, and mates kids are in a well known band. They care. Brands and iconic instruments are still very desirable to them.

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

Watching the Foo Fighters tonight there were a few nice LPs being swapped in for both Pat Smear and Chris Shiflet at times, gave me hope rock isn’t on the way out and the classic LP into a stack is still as stronger statement as ever. Coffee with my daughter in a cafe this morning. She started show...

As you can see, my taste in Lp's is less exotic than my choice of soft furnishing.
You need more P90's in your life.
