Re: Bass effects!

Nothing, you're just perfect the way you are! Compressor, chorus, flange, fuzz, octave bosh done... Oh BG , you sure know how to make a gal feel good about herself blush It was the mention of Flange wasn't it... But yeah, I attempt to be Peter Hook at times so thats what I need. To be fair I don't ...

Mr Music in Nelson has them.

Re: Guitar setup tips and tricks

Not interesting, he’s suggesting that you are going to flatten the radius of the frets, which you would if you didn’t move the levelling beam across the whole fret radius- no one is stupid enough to just stay in the middle of the fretboard. Oh he’s selling a miracle tool…. Disclaimer: he annoyed me ...

Re: Strap Locks for GLP Custom Black Beauty

schallers are good if you have one strap and many guitars and change them regularly like at a gig, just make sure that the nuts are always tight. 90% of my guitars have these. If you're a one strap per guitar person, then there are better/cheaper/easier solutions. Mine involved bottles of Grolsch, b...

I don't normally moan, mushn't grumble, but ac30's and ac15's are fucking silly weight.

My Ac15 is going into a pine cab so I reckon that will lose 1.5 kg. Only a metric tonne to go

Give me a Marshall head and 2 cabs any day, way easier.

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

is it the maple cap, mahogany body, fixed neck, rosewood fingerboard, trapezoid inlays, carved body, 3 per side tuners, that gave it away? Or all of the other differences :D Almost twins.

Hard to believe but it does happen! :mental:
You're not wrong though, thats the thing - I'm torn between the two.
Well the guitar it was based on, the telecaster, had a pickguard so thats probably why it needs one!
Yep, virtually identical. Bros from another Mo.

I think they don't look right without a pickguard, you're straying into PRS territory

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

My big question is - to pickguard or not? The BG Classic PP that danny is currently the caretaker of, never had a pickguard - it would hide that beautiful PP top. My current is a Premium and has never had one fitted though it is in the case. I'm still inclined not too as per Greeny, but they look g...
