Re: Tonal options for Ibanez Iron Label 7 String
My main amp is a Laney IRT Studio. Never above bedroom volume. Playing wise it's a bit all over the place, nothing that's particularly in the 7 string range. Tool, Deftones, AIC, Mastodon... Gojira & LOG if i practiced more. Mostly rhythm, working on lead. Sound wise i'm liking some of the Djent...

Re: Tonal options for Ibanez Iron Label 7 String
I actually totally forgot about the VAT (Doh). You're right it does bring them back into line. However, they don't have them in stock. Back to the drawing board.

Re: Tonal options for Ibanez Iron Label 7 String
I'm having a hard time tracking them down! MP have a Pegasus in the right size but that's it for kiwi retailers. If i could sniff out a Sentient to go with it then i'd be set. Does anyone know of any overseas retailer with reasonable prices for the Sentient/Nazgul/Pegasus? Andertons seem a bit price...

Re: Tonal options for Ibanez Iron Label 7 String
Thanks for your responses guys. I'll give the battery snaps a go first as Jeremy suggests, think i might have been getting ahead of myself. I'll hold off drilling the extra hole too. I'm not too familiar with the different 7 string passsive pickup options but i'll start looking. I mention the Blacko...

Tonal options for Ibanez Iron Label 7 String
Hi Team, Iv'e had this for a year or two now and i'm looking to breathe a bit of life into it: http://www.musicworks.co.nz/7-8-and-9-string-electric-guitar/rgix27feqmtg-ibanez-guitar-electric-iron-label-7-string/ I wanted a 7 string and it was on sale for $1300ish, and it was one of the two options ...

Re: Small(ish) Bass amps
Sweet as, that's good to know about the Ashdown. Plenty of it around but not a whole lot of opinions on them

Re: Small(ish) Bass amps
Made any progress with your options? I got a quick glance at the Ashdown Big Boy combo the other day. I was surprised by how compact it was. Looked alright build wise but did seem as robust as the Rumbles or that Line6. *PS sorry for rethreading this, i wanted to know the outcome but it appears i ca...

Re: Small(ish) Bass amps
Geez $2k for that new? Wonder how they justified that at the time. It would a couple of quality tiers up on the Ashdown. I agree with you on flogging it. Unless it's a separate cab, all the old look Warwick stuff has a hard time moving unless it's dirt cheap. That CCL is particularly unusual looking...

Re: Small(ish) Bass amps
No experience to offer up, but this could be an alternative to the usual Fender & Warwick stuff in the same price range: http://www.musicplanet.co.nz/amplifiers/bass-amps/ashdown-five-fifteen-big-boy-combo-220w-w-1x15-speake-ash-five-fifteen-bb.html Specs: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/amplifie...
