Ah you’re too kind. Don’t let anything get in the way if you feel like jamming, life’s too short :)

Re: NGD: 1994 Malmsteen Strat

Cool! Remember seeing him at the Powerstation - prob early 2000’s. A guy I knew was on the desk, said they’d never had to push the Turbosound PA as hard as they did that night. Some drunk dude also threw beer on him, twice, YJM stopped and threw a tantrum, I recall him saying something like “beer m...

Re: NGD: 1994 Malmsteen Strat

I had a similar scallop experience to Slowy, for some reason they make me play with a much lighter touch so it is less effort to play and I play better as a result. I've played the later version YJM strat, I really liked it. Mmmmm, scallops. Yup I discovered the same, a very light left hand is requ...

NGD: 1994 Malmsteen Strat

59BBA896-591F-4626-8074-54F2FAEA5E4B.jpeg First series (‘88-‘98) with the small headstock. Scalloped fretboard takes some time getting used to but is a lot of fun for bending and sliding around. Dimarzio pickups sound nice, especially driven. Currently with 10-46 but thinking about 8s or 9s for som...

Re: IK Multimedia ToneX

Eruera wrote: Sat Jan 28, 2023 3:19 pm Does this require the hardware for capturing? Or could you do it with a normal interface and a loadbox?
A reamp box would be needed to convert low impedance (interface out) to high (amp in). A passive DI in reverse could work too.

First heard of ToneX in this video around 3 months back, the comparison with the Kemper is just 😳

There’s a pair of old Mackie monitors in the living room, so I normally play any backing tracks on those. The wet fx cabs are guitar speakers, not full range :)

I’m using a Lehle P-Split on the iso send to the HX Stomp, so both amps are conveniently transformer isolated.

Wet Dry Wet rig (Madison Square Living Room)

At the risk of some choice wet/dry jokes, I thought I’d share this setup that’s a lot of fun to play through. On the subject of death, I like to think of myself as a positive person. You put me in a situation and I'll make the best of it with a smile on my face. I'll probably do well in death, because I tend to find the pluses in any situation. As my heart stops beating and my brain function ceases, I'll j...
