Re: Guitar recommendations for learner

Hard to beat Cort for this. The G100 is a Strat style with a hard tail bridge. Cort makes guitars for many other brands in the lower to mid price range so they represent really good value for money. $279, super light and easy to play and good sounding guitar. https://www.familymusic.co.nz/product/co...

Oh right, gotcha. I thought it was some prefabricated metal thing that was maybe intended for something else. Good job looks great.

Re: Show us your pedalboard

Just rejigged my board the other day too. The Cioks PS doesn't fit under the PedalTrain PT1 board, which is a PITA. The green one is a DIY TS808 based on the Tayda PCB that I haven't got round to labeling yet. Pedalboard2020.jpg Get some furniture feet from Bunnings to lift the back up. Velcro and ...

You got this pedal board from Bunnings? What was it originally supposed to be? Looks really practical.

Re: Clean boost?

I've been using a modded Boss CS3 for many years as a clean boost thickenupperer. I have the volume pretty high and the sustain pretty low and it's so good. I'm on to about my third or fourth one because I either break them or sell them to try something else more boutiquey and forum friendly, but I...

Re: Xvive U4 Wireless In-Ear System Review

Update on this: I used both wireless systems at practice tonight for 4.5 hours with no battery issues or noticeable drop outs at all, so really happy with that result! (Edit) Also no latency either.

Re: How good are your ears.....?

Great video. This is what I've been trying to say on You Tube videos such as this one: https://youtu.be/OHrwITnvFfY. Or any video where vintage is compared to new. It's funny how when we know something is vintage we suddenly prefer 'warmer'.

Xvive U4 Wireless In-Ear System Review

I had the opportunity to give this a workout at band practice last night. Worked really well. Certainly the simplest in-ear system I've used, and the cheapest wireless option I know of. The transmitter plugs directly into the stage box and the receiver is a tiny little belt pack thing that can fit i...

Pathfinder 15r is the best small cheap solid state combo I know of, as long as you're not looking for heaps of gain.
