In a 6L6 valve, pin 1 is spare. In a 7027A valve, pin 1 is internally connected to pin 4 (the screen grid). So if the amp in question has nothing soldered to pin 1 on the valve base then you should be OK (apart from checking bias). But if the amp in question has something soldered to pin 1 on the va...

Measure the resistance across R21 in circuit (but NOT powered up). You should get a reading of 110 ohms or close.

Ta, I was reading that it contains substances that are corrosive (to copper tracks etc) - there is an "electrical" silicon but I can't find any! Cheers.

Adhesive for large electrolytic caps

Just wondering what product the amp techs are using to adhere large electrolytic capacitors together to damp vibration? It's usually white rubbery (silicone?) flexible stuff!
