Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
Yeah that is the problem, I have 4 amps already, my main one has been Mike C's 5E3 which has been my only amp played for the last 4 years, absolutely love it. My Valco and Harmony are gathering dust. Might have to sell the MPC 5 watt.

Aaah feck, I have avoided most GAS for over a year but that Rockshop sale got me, those Blackstar amps were just too tempting, on it's way to me

Re: The Acoustic Thread
If that is a right handed Harmony H954 Broadway then it is my old one I bought from ebay in 2006, don't know of any others here.

Re: ordered a JM WRH . Still need some neck love
I have a set of WRH from my Squier Starcaster that are pretty damn good and free to a good home with donation to the board and postage, replaced them with a set of Mojotone WRH.

Les Trem 2 from ADP Music in Brest France, I got my last from them as no other was available and the same again, they seem to have them available most times.

NGD Keeping it in the family
Arrived today the Epiphone Les Paul Studio from Reg. Packaged bullet proof and a very tidy guitar indeed. I have had a love hate relationship with LP styles so hoping this will work. Quite like the stripped back look and so far sounds great. Hope Reg won't mind one of his photos being pinched. https...

Re: Fender Princeton in NZ?
 I have never had mine full out, I live in a duplex with folks all around me. I have had it to 6 on the power scale and it was bloody loud and did the 5E3 thing and does the same at 2-3 which is where I normally have it and just use the normal volumes/treble as needed to find the sound I want....

Re: Fender Princeton in NZ?
+3 for Mike and BG builds. I have a Tweed Deluxe 5E3 from Mike and cab from BG and it is just fantastic. Mike added global power scaling and a switch to increase the volume before beak up or have standard. Only amp I turn on these days. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48941079707_fded77d578_k.jp...

Re: The Resonator Thread
This one appears to be the same as the Republic Highway 61: https://www.aiersiguitar.com/?product=vintage-cutaway-parlour-resonator-guitar I'm pretty keen on this after watching some highway 61 reviews... That is the same manufacturer as my tricone, they make all sorts of brands Republic, 1959 and ...

Re: The Resonator Thread
Not that I am aware of, tried that guy in Orewa but his website is no longer, tried the guy in Dunedin, 1959? but never got a reply so went the overseas route. Republic are using DHL instead of USPS so shipping was about 3X more expensive US$400 V 125.

Re: The Resonator Thread
I am with BG on the Gretsch, tried a couple a few years back but thought they were a bit thin sounding. I have owned an Amistar tricone, Regal single, several Republic brass tricones and a wood single and wood tricone and Artiste brass single cone. Currently have an Aersi tricone (Shanghai factory, ...

Re: The slide thread
I mostly play slide on resonators and strings are generally 15-56, I can fingerpick those fine as I use finger and thumbpicks, bending - that is what the slide is for :D I use heavy slides on my little finger, my go too is a Daddyslide German Silver one, a heavy brass and a Diamond Bottleneck glass ...
