Not a Strat but this is currently on Vintage guitars and gear NZ on FB. They're a bit of a cool kid indie guitar and they apparently sell at about 4K USD so this could be some pretty sharp buying.

I've owned a 76 and a 79 during my time and all the negative comments above completely relate to those two guitars.

How did you do the checking, heat then freeze spray?

About a month after the last coat I chucked it into the freezer for about 24 hours. I then attacked it with a hair dryer.
