When your playing in the open air the sound comes out of the cab and travels in a predominantly vertical direction. You really need to mike it in that situation. FWIW I've done festivals with 2 x 100watt heads and still felt I had no volume.

As Willow said, if you run the amp hot continually you may harm the speakers. Running those two together will give you a safe level of 130 watts ( being double the power of the lowest power speaker ). So the 2014's have chunky necks , Good to know. They were doing them as a 1960 reissue for quite a long time and consequently the necks were fairly slim.
