Re: Brutal elimination 3 way?

Wasn't really looking for a multi amp/single cab switcher, just an impulse buy of something that wasn't one anyway!! 2 rig stereo setups has been my jam tho, have plenty of experience with ABY pedals with my favorite being the Fulltone version with soft touch switches. I found the soft touch switche...

Needs more rug!
Plenty of bounce around in a 100+ square metre room with wooden floors. However, standing in front of 3 loud quads your just getting pelted with direct signal. Reverb adjustment is made by amount of steps sideways!

Re: Brutal elimination 3 way?

Great afternoon of amp testing & comparison. Some questions were answered & more questions raised. Having all 3 amps hooked up thru the Lehle pedal put a bit of hum on the Reinhardt, Marshalls were fine. Confirmed all are great amps. Reinhardt & 1987 really were quite similar through som...

Re: Brutal elimination 3 way?

Glad you spotted this in time! Those kind of amp switchers are rarer than the Lehle one you have. I'm aware of the Radial Headbone and Metro Headmaster (now discontinued, along with most/all Metro products), both of which only support 2 amps. There are also some very expensive products from Ampete ...

Re: Brutal elimination 3 way?

Initial problems indicate I had a clear misunderstanding of the amp switcher! Each amp must connect to its own cabinet & then switch between each amp setup. Perhaps I could learn to read & improve comprehension with my new found spare time, probably not!

Brutal elimination 3 way?

Like something from MasterChef, these tubes may well be cooking for their spot among the winners circle. Not everyone can be a winner. I hold my '84 Marshall 1987 in high regard, superbly familiar tone, easy to play with great feel. I'm in a very small minority that prefers the 1987 to the infamous ...

Re: Valuation resources

I love it how they put the trannies down one end of the amp.. makes for a neat time carrying it when the handle is in the middle.. At least with your 50w they are a little more central under the handle. Yeah I've had some very nose divey 100 watters! I purchased a road case for this the week after ...

Re: Valuation resources

That JMP looks very clean, is it like that inside too ? I've had the amp for ten years, previous owner had the caps done by Audio34 in Auckland. All transformers seem original with correct numbering on them according to my limited research. I was told the circuit is all original but I would have no...

Re: The 3 pillars of boganism?

Why no Peavey Rage? :D Not sure what you mean, the Peavey 5150 rages hard thru the Uberkab. Long ago when I was starting my guitar journey I remember being so jealous of my older brothers mates Rage158, thought it nailed those Metallica & justice for all... tones. Something my Washburn sx12 did...

Valuation resources

I have two amps I am thinking of selling but I'm a bit unsure if I'm ready to let them go. They have become more ornamental than jammed on. Problem I'm having is determining what they are worth, one is quite rare (Reinhardt Ampzilla) and the other is at least hard to come by in clean condition (1977...

That's why I bought a Mesa with fewer capabilities!
Ah, so you're using 25% of it's capabilities?
Wouldn't go that far.
Apparently my rectifier has two channels. Not sure tho

Just in case it was the cops?!?

Clear perspex with the mesa badge in the middle is the one I'm thinking of
