Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

Is the NZG equivalent of Godwin's Law that all guitar discussions eventually end up with Stratocasters?

A jazzmaster is essentially a Friday afternoon Stratocaster.
They're the Bud Light of electric guitars.

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

Not that I'm aware of. Victim in question is mine. Takes a great pic though doesn't he? You have a '53 Goldtop? You remind me of my wife: Me: Marry me!?!? Her: Serious? (+ stink eye) Me: Marry me! Her: You serious? (+ more stink eye) Me: Yes, marry me! Her: Are you serious? (looking for the camera)...

Re: The Velcro that’s not Velcro…?

Replacing all the Velcro on the bottom of my pedals with Dual Lock. Board has loop Velcro on it which will remain. Read a trick online about placing the pedal on the board, pressing down, twisting one way then twisting back the other. Really worked well in locking the pedal down to the Velcro.

Re: The Velcro that’s not Velcro…?

so just to clarify-its the glue that is insanely strong? or both parts? Glue is very strong, but it's not super glue strong. And if you don't have a well-prepped surface you'll have adhesion issues. I sprayed the underside of my board with sanding sealer and flattened it to 600 grit. Trying to just...

Re: Guitar food groups and must try guitar sounds

Interestingly, I’ve been using my Tele fairly predominantly lately into a Neuron > Laney valve amp. The Neuron covers a range of amp like sounds that the Tele handles - it comes down to how I’ve set the Neuron. The Tele is a 52 reissue with stock pickups. I can get spank, sparkle and full on chug q...

Hey, ignore the two on the left as they're home made but the others are a 14 R9 in Sunrise Teaburst which looks more like honey burst in person and the far right is a 92 Classic Plus which is my first Gibson and I got it from Ian Morris from the Dudes so its a bit of a special one for me.
