Re: Les Paul and Tele tuning stability tips?

Before you start farking around, put a tiny dab of Vaseline in each nut slot (under the string).

There's other nut lubes around (graphite, guitar grease, etc), but I've found vas to be far superior.

Don't use silicon/teflon based lubes.

Re: What a lot of us have been wanting from Kemper..

What’s the verdict on the KEMPER Player? Who’s got one in NZ? Have been considering buying another amp I don’t need, thinking I might be better to look into the KEMPER Player. Looks like it’s just over 1k landed? It'd be around 1350 landed (customs fees). I got one. So far I'm really enjoying it! H...

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

Wait, does his collection have an actual '53 Goldtop? Not that I'm aware of. Victim in question is mine. Takes a great pic though doesn't he? You have a '53 Goldtop? You remind me of my wife: Me: Marry me!?!? Her: Serious? (+ stink eye) Me: Marry me! Her: You serious? (+ more stink eye) Me: Yes, ma...

Re: Eastman D'Ambrosio Series

Interesting neck join. The recessed pickguard is a really nice touch, I reckon. https://assets.nationbuilder.com/eastman/pages/6748/attachments/original/1705774965/Eastman_Guitar_Web_Nationbuilder_D_DAmbrosio_Edu1_1620x2400_20240117.jpg?1705774965 I reckon that's over thinking it a bit. Maybe. It’s...

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

Had these for years, not much has changed. 2000 LP Standard in a red flame type finish I brought from someone (Danny?) on here quite a few years back, and a 2008 LP Studio Faded. The Studio currently has some EMG's fitted, 81/89 TW set with push/pull etc from memory. Haven't really decided if the o...

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

Formerly acquainted: 2014 R6. 8lb even. Recon it’s Murphy aged, but they stopped him signing his work around this time. Closest sounding reissue to vintage I’ve had - could have been a tele in another life…. Aroused. Whats the neck like? Medium, smaller shoulders. Similar size all the way along. My...
