Re: I can scarcely believe what just happened

That’s what I keep telling my wife! She just gives me that funny look   Lol, I think we all know 'that funny look'. Yep, and don’t they just say everything? This particular look says something like “so you just bought a PA system that you don’t need and somehow you’re excited about the mi...

Bloody love the zoom multistomps. If i was restricted to a one-pedal-board (in a standard small pedal format) i'd go with the MS70CDR

I have the Zoom MS50G & an old GFX-5 which is mostly analogue.

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Dude! I like that a lot. 105th anniversary? Harleys here command a serious premium. I'd love another big block but some examples are almost double what I'd expect to pay in NZ. I'm chasing a 70s Shovel at the moment. Their prices seem more in keeping with what I'm used to. Congrats on the new bike....

Re: NJD

Gotta say, I'm just loving this amp! A 6V6 clean is so much warmer than a typical Fender 6L6.

Re: Where Does The Tone Come From In A Speaker Cab?

The cab I'm using for my 5E3 clone is an old home made bass one that I built some time ago. I've cut it down in size a bit & it's lined with carpet squares inside & has rear ports made from baked bean tins - also covered with carpet. It actually sounds good.

Thanks, I have a spare 13AT7 so I'll give that a try.

Re: NJD

I think that the Weber 12A125-S would suit me best but cost of getting it him gets very expensive with the impact of covid on delivery times & freight costs.
I'm getting the Cannabis Rex which also seems to very popular with other owners of 5E3 circuits..

Re: NJD

I think I want a speaker that stays clean longer than the original ones - I need to do more research online. Meanwhile I'm having fun learning the interactive controls. Then a high sensitivity speaker like the Cannabis Rex is the way to go. You'll get a decent amount more clean headroom. But a 5E3 ...

Re: NJD

I've heard your amp at the last gear fest - it sounded good.
A lot of the reviews I found spoke highly of the Eminence Legend 1258 and the Weber 12A125-A or the Weber 12A125-S.
