Re: Swaps Thread

All good. Someone might be interested in swapping a Blue Angel and 2x12 cab for it but we'll see. I'd like something with a usable clean, nice reverb, and massive tight balls for the occasional chugs. What I'd really like is my old SLM V33 which I modded. That amp was an absolute monster - the clean...

Re: Swaps Thread

I'm debating swapping my 1x12 Mesa Boogie Maverick. It's a bit loud for my jams and I've got a 50w 4x12 for gigs. It's 35w class A, dual recitifer. Awesome little thing just a bit more amp than I need. If there's anything smaller out there that can rock your socks and maybe with a 2x12 cab I'd be ke...

Re: Promo shot thread

Hey there, I'm a photographer... and seemingly one of only a handful of band photographers in NZ. I used to be a staffer for Metal Hammer back in UK and shot for a bunch of metal publications (decibel, terrorizer, kerrang, etc). If you're doing a press kit, some live photos would be awesome but when ...

Xotic BB Preamp

$200 or trades for other pedals. Come at me, bro. It cost me $299. I've had this for maybe 18 months or so and don't really use it as much as I probably should. It's a beautiful unit with a very sweet sound. It isn't massively gainy yet has an immense range of boost with a 2 band EQ (bass and treble...

Caline CP-05 pedal Power Supply

We'll see how we go at $50 or trade for something fun like tremolo, EQ, OD etc pedals. It's literally this one: http://www.trademe.co.nz/music-instruments/instruments/guitar-bass/effects-units/auction-1116316598.htm because I bought it from there maybe a year ago. Has the original box and is still i...

WTB: Isolated Pedal Power Supply

Howdy, I'm looking for an isolated PSU because my delay pedal doesn't play nice with the Caline one. I went into the local Cockshop intending to pickup the Truetone CS7 thing but they don't stock them at my local one so here I am. Ideally around $200 if I could and every output isolated, not isolate...

Re: SUHR Strat, Peavey Wolfgang, Gibson Orville Les Paul, Gibson Explorer, Ash Custom works, Charvel

Since we're talking about tenons, this is pretty definitive: http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/members/dwagar-albums-don-s-stuff-picture9779-tenons.jpg There are some Gibsons where you can't see the tenon because they have a short one (arf arf). Thanks for posting the pics. Looking at them , I think ...

Re: Build 2: Sapwood Puriri

Not really a point, they'd just snap along the thin bit because it'd be across the grain. This does exactly the same job. I suppose you could make a laminate of alternating grain to get the strength but that seems like a ton of work for zero improvement. It was a consideration I had earlier in the p...

Re: Post your tracks, recordings etc.

Here's my song about false friends and probably something to do with anxious feelings about not belonging in a room full of people. I'm on guitars, bass, drums, and vox:

Build 2: Sapwood Puriri

Howdy, Another one for you. Mostly native timbers and my first build was the prototype for this one. I designed the body in Illustrator, going for a cross between a PRS, a Schecter, maybe a bit of Les Paul in there, but something sleek and aggressive and derivative without being too out there or wei...
