Re: Directory listing for guitar repairs, services etc.

This is great! Could you add a few words about what each person/business does though?

Re: Return of the Gibbons shocker thread!

Ykes! I don't think the paint on a 2017 guitar should look like this. Almost looks like the timber was still wet when they painted it! Check out the back of the neck and headstock. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/marketplace/music-instruments/instruments/guitar-bass/electric-guitars/listing/4095901102?b...

I think he just gets tired and lazy.

I spent about $NZ700 with them a couple of months back and didn't get pinged.

robthemac wrote: Mon Mar 06, 2023 6:49 pm On this excellent note, if anyone has a Kemper they'd be willing to lend me in exchange for guitars/amps/pedals of their choice, I'd owe them for ever.
Mine’s for sale on TradeMe so I wouldn’t miss it if you wanted to borrow it. I’ll have to get it back quickly if it sells though.

Looks really nice- even though looking at left-handed guitars makes my brain hurt!

Want to borrow something Plexi-ish for a week?
Thanks for the kind offer but in reality, I’ve got very little time to actually play at the moment. Out of interest, what do you have?

Re: Wound G Strings

I've used a wound G when I've gone really low (B standard) on a 25.5" scale 6 string. Worked much better than a plain G; which sounded like a terrible case of stratitis and couldn't be intonated.

Re: The Kemper Thread

Just picked up a Kemper and remote Tuesday night. I've only had a couple of hours on the thing and I'm in love! I compared it to some recordings I did with Captor X and IRs and the Kemper sounds better, it also sounds and feels a bit better than the Fractal Fm3 I had. More natural and its a dream u...

Re: New BOSS Products coming....

Does it do anything the SY-300 doesn't? Yes, it has the power not to confuse the sh1t out of guitar players  But seriously though. The core synth engine is similar, but SY-300 is more of a fully-fledge synthesizer, you can go in and mess with oscillators and filters and LFOs and all sorts. Rea...
