Re: Your Mt Rushmore of Bass Players

Liked for Pete Trewavas. One of my inspirations when I was starting out, doesn't get enough credit IMO. Great backing vox too. Agreed, he’s very underrated. He can hold down a song as well as anybody and his bass lines are really interesting to listen to. His playing with Transatlantic is also wort...

Re: How many watts is your home/bedroom amp?

Very cool! One of the few SS amps I’d consider buying, I’d love a JC120 but not particularly practical I know. Guessing the cleans sounds pretty amazing?

Re: R9 refret & inlays

Outstanding stuff Grant. Always interesting watching a master at work, and how good is your R9 going to be afterwards

Re: Amp stand for head+cab?

As stupid as it sounds, I have a couple of really strong and bullet proof plastic shot glasses. I put them underneath my 212 cab that stands vertically as well as my AC15. Just the right amount of subtle tilt. Worth a try, though I probably wouldn't recommend a glass shot glass for obvious reasons

NPD x 2, Chorus & Octave pedal. Couldn’t fit my MXR Uni-Vibe on the board but it seems to play well in the FX Loop

Re: RIP Eddie Van Halen

I'm in the Van Hagar camp. Yeah for sure there's some tracks I skip over, but there's some killer songs on Balance and FUCK, Sammy's vocals are amazing. For me at least, DLR always came off as more of a showman rather than a vocalist 4 years? Wow. I can remember exactly where I waswhen I found he ha...

How many watts is your home/bedroom amp?

So for me it's a 50w head with the master up around 3, guess I'm relatively lucky as I don't have any neighbours that are overly close to our house. At the moment I have an AC15 and a Laney LH50R head, the Laney is the one I tend to plug into the majority of the time I'm interested to hear what ever...

Re: Philco Stereo Radio - Transformation to SE Guitar Amp

Yes, great guyI I took my 1974 HH Electronics Tape Delay to him to fix, he also serviced my Laney head and did a great job on both. His username on here is PaulWD although unfortunately I don't seem to have his contact number anymore :(

Re: Show us your pedalboard

It’s been a while. Same but different… Headrush is off to the left which I use for tremolo, rotary, reverbs and a sprinkling of shimmery stuff
