My question is, what on earth are you doing that requires that much amp?
Downsizing.

Obviously.

Yup. One of the last old school stores with heaps of cool shit. You gotta dig and snoop though the piles of stuff though…..

It reminds me of the store at the start of Gremlins.

In a good way.

If that’s possible.

Re: That BF Super Reverb at Cadenza…..?

There’s a ‘64 Blackface Super Reverb at Cadenza. It’s been there for years. And years. Does anyone know anything about it? Interesting. Reckon it's an export model? Can't be too many floating around. Nah, it’s US. Has a step-down in the back. It doesn’t have a price on it, but the price has changed...

Plus I like the way it tugs on my pubes when I play the whammy bar naked.

LOT of legendary tones have been recorded with 70’s strats. Not necessarily “good” ones either. Big fan of the big headstock.

Re: Cable recommendations

Roll my own here. Bestronics Pro Audio has a super low capacitance cable (0446) - almost as low as the fancy silver studio stuff but not stiff as shit. Add a couple of Switchcraft jacks, and some double wall heat shrink. Done.

Re: Anyone Rocking Vintage Blackface?

I haven't found my Mike-C Deluxe Reverb to do its best work when fully cranked. It sounds great at 5-7 on the volume dial, especially when cutting bass and/or adding Klone/TS in front. But diming the volume just doesn't sizzle my bacon. That's in distinct contrast to the Plexi and Tweed, both of wh...

Re: Anyone Rocking Vintage Blackface?

Grant B, Conway - you boys wind them up, or keep them clean?

Robbie - Bandmaster would stay pretty clean right? Maybe a little grit at the top of the dial?

Twins scare me.

Anyone Rocking Vintage Blackface?

Find myself wandering off down the Blackface rabbit hole.... Strikes me that I don't seem to recall having seen much in the way of vintage blackface around? Plenty of reissues. And a few clones (some of them great - Mike C!). And the Hotrod/Blues Deluxes/Deville's etc. And plenty of other brands (Me...
