Re: What's on your work bench?
Forumite-built guitar on my workbench. Thinking about doing a waterslide decal on the (metallic purple) headstock. Figure I should decide before I spray clearcoat. Anyone had decals printed in NZ? Or is there another way to put a decal under clear coat? Whatever you do, please don't use Brush Scrip...

Welcome.
To get you up to speed:
- don't follow any links from Jeremyb
- all gear photos must include a sneaky toe/foot. Open-toed footwear permitted.
- we just can't work out why there aren't more female members
- do you want to buy an Iridium?

Re: Blues Breaker pedal users
I have a Blues Breaker model that I use on the Source Audio LA Lady. Really enjoy it. Happily have a blat on yours, if that's useful.
Re: Oops!
Sometimes, I think I'm a monkey with a machine gun  I changed the valves in Optimus from 6L6 to 6DZ7. So far, so good. Then in a moment of inspiration I replaced V1 with one of my old Mullard ECC83s Switch on amp and Mullard explodes . Seriously, broken glass everywhere. Today's job is to rem...

Re: YouTube goodness
<Youtube shitness> Been looking at how to soundproof my studio in Nelson. This popped up and didn't change my opinion of him. I really really want to punch Tim Henson in the balls, I suspect he'd enjoy it though. I particularly liked his shout outs to all the sponsors, oh and his general being a fu...

Re: Oops, I'm a PRS...here's a Gibson.
Nice one, so the hum wouldn't have been getting quieter when you touched the strings? Nah...and I didn't pick up on that one. I was more focused on the hum getting louder and quieter when I moved the guitar in relation to the amp. With it parallel to the speakers it was very hummy/buzzy and then it...

Re: Who in Wgtn does finishing work?
If you wanted to send me the neck and the colour codes I could spray it for you. Happy to send some photos examples of my work in a week or so when I'm done sanding. Thanks. This was an option I'd thought of, but I hoped to take it to someone local so they'd have the body for reference since, as yo...

Re: Much Eastman love....
Used the VHT with the Band last night. It'll do nicely. The problem was one of dynamics. I fingerpick everything and need both clean and breakup at my fingertips. The VHT gives me that sweet spot at exactly the band's volume. So I can get on with playing what I feel and hearing what I expect. It's ...

Re: Who in Wgtn does finishing work?
Sounds unusual but a car paint shop could match it in poly/acylic, and then you could get it into an aerosol. Might cost. $100 for the mixing etc, but you’d get real close and modern car paint is good for guitars, generally speaking. Does it have a logo? Have to manage that too if so. I thought abo...
