Mate has one of these and a nemesis. Has just put a helix rack in as the centre of his rig, but is keeping these as they are great..

I'm still considering actives in my Epiphone, because even with a DiMarzio Evo and SD Alnico 2 it still sounds dull and muffled compared to my Charvel. Figured actives (possibly with 18v) to try to overcome this, but not sure it would work. What pots etc are in the epi? I found replacing the stock ...

The compression and sterileness was why I didnt bond with the EMG's. Apparently the fishman's are better, but a decent set of passives work better for me.

Nyxl 11-56. They are tensioned to feel the same a d standard as a set of 10s on e standard. Have run them on my sg at drip c no issued.

You run the risk of denting your top doing that though :-(
yip, but in this case i was able to get it done though doing that, a couple of times on the same guitar too...

I was able to put the studs partly back in, the with something on the top, used a levering tool to pop them out.
