Re: IK Multimedia ToneX

I’m more than a little confused here! Are you saying you used the kemper to profile your tonex and that resulted in profiles on the kemper that sounded virtually identical to the tonex running the profiled tonex captures? Yeah so I bought the capture box because I want to do my own amp captures. Go...

Re: IK Multimedia ToneX

I've been having a play with profiles from ToneNet, and man there's some great stuff on there, also some junk. I usually prefer proper miked up rigs over the direct ones that need IRs added. The Marshall stuff is bang on, and dare I say it, better than a lot of the best Marshall profiles I've tried...

Re: IK Multimedia ToneX

I have the toneX Capture on the way. Me and the band mates are recording a couple of new songs and thought it would be a good idea to spend a good few hours miking up our cabs and getting the tones into our computers and my Kemper so we can track at home. I've been impressed with the demos I've seen...

Re: Molestation: An Ethical Perspective.

Can relate. I have a 70's Japanese 'Marina' strat copy I got off a friend for $200. In excellent condition. Its the bestest guitar Ive owned, its damn near perfect for me. Very resonant with the best neck ever. I decided to throw 500 bux at it for a refret. I went with small vintage frets but bends ...

Re: Best speaker for high gain peavey

A T75 is one of those 'do everything speakers'. They really shine in a crunch setting. If you can find an older one pre 2002, it'll be made in the UK, even better!

Re: What a lot of us have been wanting from Kemper..

I’ll let you know how I find it once mine arrives :) I have the advantage of being very used to the Kemper infrastructure, having used it at home and live for 11 years. I don’t adjust anything on my kemper when playing live (even volume is controlled via the mixer) although running one of these int...

Re: What a lot of us have been wanting from Kemper..

In my experience, making adjustments on a phone is far quicker than pushing little buttons and turning knobs on a pedal. Then finding out you've done something wrong and trying to retrace your steps. But for basic B, M, T adjustments, yeah knobs are better. But everyone is different. This unit will ...

Re: Top Albums Of 2023

King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard - PetroDragonic Apocalypse The best metal album I've heard in many years. Suprising, since they normally release psychedelic rock stuff Yeah I loved this. Not sure if it appealed to most metalheads that much but for the uninitiated like myself it was rad. Particul...

Re: Our new EP is out!

Gave it a listen through in the car Sunday and Monday, really liked it. Some of it reminded me of The Almighty, especially the first song but the rest had a little bit probably due to the vocals gritty bits and also because I have The Almighty on my mind at the moment as they're doing a few reunion...

Nah we played at the tattoo festival yesterday. You might be thinking of The Lounge Apes doing that grunge show
