Re: Looper…is it worth spending up ?

To be honest, I’d get what has more footswitches. This stupid single or dual magical tap dance nonsense takes all the joy out of looping So what’s the go ? The RC's are pretty good at letting you connect external footswitches and assigning them to parameters to help with this. https://support.rolan...

Re: Best DAW for beginner

Not fucking Ableton. It's powerful and has so much control in it, but completely inaccessible. Kinda like a racecar that you'll stall a dozen times before you can get around the first corner. Yeah its strength is in live performance and DJing not really recording guitars and other instruments :-( I...

Re: Offset chat

Mustang is actually a bit longer overall than a Strat, despite being a shorter scale length, though probably a little narrower overall. http://i.imgur.com/5krjn.jpg I’ve never really understood those who say a Mustang feels small, but then I’m a slim tall boy, not a beefcake. That picture is doing ...

Re: Offset chat

Last time I looked J Mascis Jazzmasters were quite well regarded. I see there's are still some floating around the globe. Yeah they're great if you can find one. I regret not holding on to mine for longer. Reverend's are great especially given how cheap they are, though I suppose whether it would s...

Re: What a lot of us have been wanting from Kemper..

I think the desire to use a Kemper will cease long before any existing apps stop functioning on whatever the current iteration of your hardware of choice is, whether it's Android or iOS. The apps will stop getting maintained which might be annoying, but that's the same story with any kit that requir...

Re: What a lot of us have been wanting from Kemper..

I'm curious to know how Kemper users here find the desktop/iOS software?

At ~$1000NZD I could live without a screen, but it lives or dies on how annoying the software is to work with.

Re: Top Albums Of 2023

King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard - PetroDragonic Apocalypse The best metal album I've heard in many years. Suprising, since they normally release psychedelic rock stuff Yeah I loved this. Not sure if it appealed to most metalheads that much but for the uninitiated like myself it was rad. Particul...

A kemper for some reason. Might give it a few weeks to let the GAS naturally subside and pull the trigger otherwise.

Re: Chch Gearfest 25th Nov 2023

I'll be there with pretty much the same gear I had at the last gearfest I attended. Shameful! That puts others like me to shame Chris!!! I’m almost certain I won’t be bringing anything apart from my AC10 that you’ve seen before  Hang on, what happened to the pedals that were arriving fr...
