Re: Fender 68 Vibrolux footswitch

This could be due to how the trem and reverb are switched on/off - grounding the trem jack turns the tremolo ON whereas grounding the reverb jack turns the reverb OFF, so the FS-7 would light up when the Trem is off and Reverb on, or vice versa if polarity is reversed. The hum issue for the reverb ...

Fender 68 Vibrolux footswitch

Recently went and bought a Boss FS-7 to pair with my Vibrolux as i wanted a switch with LEDs and a detachable cable for pedalboard friendly use. Its a TRS plug on the amp, and a TRS out on the footswitch, but seems to not be working right. 1) Trem is on when the light is off, off when the light is o...

Re: 10" Speakers?

I love 10s for guitar. I find they clean up the low end for a lot more snappy sounds out of a pushed power section on an amp. Using a 2x10 vibrolux and a JTM45 with 4x10 cab. Great response and i dont find it muddy when playing with other guitarists or bassists. A little lacking by itself, but kille...

He was teaching music when I was at school. Probably the first person to ignite my love of gear. First time I played a real Strat was one of his... pretty sure i broke a string on it

Pedahl Powa

Needing an upgrade. At the moment im using 1x large board, with a PT1250 and 2x wall warts for power. I want to go to using 2x boards, that can be combined together for full rig, or be used independantly (my pedal order and types allows this fine). BUT I need good power supplies for them. Can you ge...

Re: NGD!

Funny story, when i first started jamming, i cabled my board wrong. Plugged the Marshall into an input of a pedal, not an output (i was just that excited). Didnt even notice, was so impressed that these 2 amps could have such a great tonal balance. Probably played just the Fender for an hour or so w...

New amp time! 68 custom Vibrolux, pairs up beautifully with my JTM, really complimentary tone. Been cranked right up for about 4 hours now and its singing, so little headroom I love it. Been after one for a while now, promotion time at work means its about time I got on with it. Also, 6x 10" sp...

Re: NSGD - Up for sale

Well. Didnt last long. Anyone wanna buy? Offers around 1k with the Gator molded abs case. I got it for $1050 and its done nothing since i got it. After getting it, restring, setup and a bit of a play, realised its really not my thing. Im a Strat guy through and through. Will also trade with cash eit...

NSGD - Up for sale

New SG day! Been craving something different to my strat for a while. Different recording flavours and a reason to play differently to how i usually play my gear. 2010 SG Special. My first step into the Gibson world. Better than i expected it to be. Apologies for the dark photo, it didnt come out to...

Re: Set ups etc. in the Tron?

It doesn't seem there are too many people doing it (in a professional, job sense) in Hamilton at the moment! Not sure who replaced Morris at Shearer's, and I don't know if the Ham RS offer in-store setups etc like they used to. I've been going to Keith for years now though. Top guy, and I like what...
