Re: What's on your work bench?

Yes, we chopped down 40 year old trees on our section. Most of it went as firewood but I saved a few large cuts for guitar bodies. Might have to cut a body slab and stress test it I presume that it is well seasoned IE one year air drying for each 25.4mm  And that it is trunk wood not limbs???...

Nice rack - I've been trying to get a photo of the wifes rack in the lounge for years, but she won't have a bar of it.

Re: Nitro spraying advice

yeah, theres a few threads over in the TDPRI site with sparkle finishes. Its not easy and the finish ends up being real thick to ensure that you get enough clear layer over the sparkle so you don't wet sand through which (from memory) means refinish. Also believe that the sparkle gets everywhere you...

20230421_164742.jpgButcher block Mustang close to finished. This has been made from shitty materials and leftover bits from the parts bin. If it ends up being functional, that's cool, but as it stands it makes a pretty cool wall hanger. Mate - looks fucking excellent!! Be a shame to just see it as ...

Re: Nuno Bettencourt is on an Absolute Tear!

Pornograffiti has always been an album that I've gone back to over the years - such a ripper album. The guitar work is amazing, as others have said the melody of his playing through the verses, fantastic. But yeah, these singles do seem to lack the same level that the first few albums, maybe he's ke...

So Grant built this? :wtf:       The way the grain 'leaks' over the edge of the fretboard... I love that! The other more talented Grant…for clarity! Ha, ha - coming from the man with the reputation for great fret work and incredibly finished guitars!
