Re: How to store guitars long term (1 year+)

Thanks for the tips so far guys. My biggest concern is the humidity eating away the hardware of the guitar, particularly the Les Paul Custom with the gold hardware. I think I'm going to invest in one of these 2 way humidifier kits for each guitar to keep the humidity at bay- https://www.rockshop.co...

How to store guitars long term (1 year+)

I'm going back to live in the UK for a year, possibly longer, starting in May. I have 3 pretty expensive guitars and my OCD self is getting pretty stressed out about how to ensure they are stored ok whilst I'm away. From what I've read online, best practice seems to be to store the guitars upright i...

Re: NGD's- Gibson Haul

So, you got the SG from Warren! Score. Small world eh. Was you eyeing it? Dude, you have turned to the light side :) They're awfully tricky to play though, maybe you should give them to me :D I've grown to love the fight :) Well done that man! So; two different but similar solidbodies wit...

Re: The 'traders to avoid' thread

Dylan.

Received guitar totally not as described and refused to make little if any contact post purchase to resolve the issue. Refer to my 'Musicman for PRS trade' thread for full details. Will not trade with user again.

NGD's- Gibson Haul

My guitar collection has taken a massive U turn recently having sold most of my shredder type guitars in favour of more traditional ones. As most of you have probably noticed on here, I've been after a Gibson Les Paul Custom for a while. It's been thee 'holy grail' guitar ever since I started playin...

Yeah for the price it was, I want everything perfect. That issue regarding the neck would have always played on my mind. The search continues...

Re: Les Paul experts- Suspect neck joint?

It looks fine...but use it as leverage. Actually, after someone else helpfully pointed out, I don't think it looks fine. Notice how the gap between the back of the neck and the body binding isn't uniform. There is a much greater distance on the bass side than treble. From every photo I've looked at...

Re: Les Paul experts- Suspect neck joint?

Ok here goes folks. The seller said the guitar has been in storage for about 10 years and he's not aware of any repairs carried out to the guitar prior. All looks well on the back and opposite side. He presumed the whiting was just a result of aging. I've dealt with the guy before, he's genuine, so ...

Re: Les Paul experts- Suspect neck joint?

I've asked the seller for more photos of the neck joint. It's early 90's. String alignment is perfect.

Les Paul experts- Suspect neck joint?

I'm looking at a pretty expensive Les Paul and i've been sent a photo of this- https://i.imgur.com/6FfdaXT.jpg The seller said that he isn't sure what it is, and that it doesn't wipe off. Now I posted this photo on the 'Gibson Les Paul' group on Facebook and half of the people say it's likely to jus...

Had 2 USA models. A 97 custom 22 and a 2010 Tremonti. Could not fault either.

Congrats.
A good job I'm an amp nymphomaniac! But yeah, 4 channels, 3 modes per channel, assignable reverb to each channel etc. Makes my head hurt just thinking about it all.

HNAD! Mesa Content

NAD! Mesa Dual Rectifier Roadster. I traded my Dual rectifier 3 channel to a local guy a few months back and despite it's inherent fizziness, I missed the balls and voicing of the Recto. The guy I traded it with also had this Dual Rectifier Roadster that somehow found it's way to a close friend of m...

It really is mate, and they are stainless frets too so in theory they should not wear out 8)
