Re: NAD: Mesa Boogie Mini Rectifier
I love these. Had one as my main gigging amp for ages. Channel 2 sounds huge when it's roaring through a 4x12. The Clean channel gets a nice push when cranked as well. I traded it for a 5150ii head in favour of some more headroom, but have very fond memories of my mini rec. Congrats. Looks way coole...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
btw did you use EMS or DHL for shipping? Pics! As requested :) The top really changes depending on the light. A little darker in person I think than as advertised on Ishibashi, which I like. The back is a bit scuffed, but the top is pretty mint - it's 21 years old to be fair. Same year as my LP Cla...

9 days from Tokyo to my front door for my PRS CU24 to be delivered :) As someone else said, there must be a guitar nerd that works at Customs and just let this one through without collecting duty. The guitar itself is super comfortable and easy to play. Sounds fantastic as well. This one has the HF...

Re: What are you learning?
I really want to learn something new, but can't seem to get excited about anything. I love a good technical riff; Lamb of God, Trivium etc usually gets the juices flowing, but I'm a bit burnt out on that sorta music atm. I also have a pretty limited chord vocabulary, so been dipping my toe in some j...

The Gibson Explorer I ordered from Osaka in Japan a week ago is with courier for delivery already. Yay. :D It somehow slipped thru without being nicked for GST. Double yay!. :) Somebody else here who bought a guitar from Japan just over a week ago was not so jammy. Probably because it's a PRS, so f...

Re: Show Us Your Guitar
Haven't been playing a tonne the last year or so due to other hobbies, renovations and a recent new baby. It didn't help my guitars are a bit packed away atm too. But decided I need to keep a guitar close by in the house so it will atleast get picked now and then. Right now the guitar of choice is m...

Charvel DK24 FR Okoume incoming! Not a huge fan of the TB6 Full Shred bridge pickup, likely swap it out for a Super Distortion or a Glyn Cloud 9. Jazz in the neck will be juuust fine. I also have an OG Floyd bridge I may swap the 1000 out for, if it's a straight swap, but only if the 1000 feels lack...
