Re: NLPD: '10 68RI LPC
Now I have all 3 major food groups of LPC: 50's (all mahogany), 60's (mahogany neck/body with maple top) and 70's (mahogany body, maple neck/maple top). I've said it before, that P90 LPC on the left is my favourite guitar on the forum. Those are the "staple" pickups, right? What's the dea...

Re: Any Super Sonic love out there?
Thanks Oleg. Thanks guys.
It's 6v6 with a 'Fender Special' speaker. Played it for an hour or so this evening in the lounge with a couple of Strats. Really enjoyed it.
Will try the suggestions and report back. Cheers.

Any Super Sonic love out there?
Bought this today. Don't see that many of them compared to some Fender amps. Any thoughts, hints or tips relating to these? Cheers.

Re: Rhett Shills Gibbons vs PRS
I might've owned the green one (The Hulk as I think it was called) a couple of times. Started-out with Ed. I didn't like the way the controls were positioned and configured but it was otherwise a good guitar for the money. I bought a Santana at one point. That was a nice guitar. Didn't I buy the Si...

Re: Rhett Shills Gibbons vs PRS
The intonation on a PRS seems far better. I don't know how exactly. It just does. Paul himself comes across as a bit of a dick these days. Like he and he alone understands what it is to make a good guitar. Anyway, I wonder, can anybody point to a great, classic guitar tone / piece of guitar music t...

Re: I'm retiring from charity work.
In the working men's clubs of Northern England you'd get: "Play summut we liiiike. Play Simply the Best". You'd get the Crème Brûlée guy (for lovers of League of Gentlemen): "Is that a Fender Strat?" Being the bingo's support act. Lazy $%#$%#@ singer doing her makeup the entire t...
