You forgot the middle eight where he pauses to buy more guitars.

Selling your PRS? What you replacing it with?

Re: Strymon Iridium

Finally had a decent sit-down with the Chime setting. Realised I've been using it all wrong, with everything at 12 o'clock. Current got it set with gain at 2, bass at 11, mid knob rolled right off, treble at 1. That gives it the full AC-30 top boost sound. Honestly I prefer this to any Vox I've pla...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Bought this Les Paul Traditional. Think I'll prefer the spec of the Traditional over the Standard (though I get that they varied the spec from year to year).

Re: WTB: Cheap but half-decent pickups to upgrade an Epi.

Looking at Scott Holidat's Firebirds. He has TV Jones and other mini humbuckers mounted in surrounds that look about the size of regular humbucker surrounds.

I wonder if they'd be hard to source.

I feel like EMGs will probably not be your thing..
Mnynaaaaa.... I've vintage-voiced stuff for Africa. Wanted something with a point of difference. Time was when I put EMGs in everything. Then I decided they made everything sound the same. Won't hurt to have one metal machine.

Cheers for the advice guys. Gone with that vintage favourite, a Zakk Wylde EMG set.

Re: SOLD: EMG 81 85 set

Yes but I just bought another Les Paul so might put the EMGs on that and the stock LP loom / pickups in the Firebird. :-)

My nan used to say "you only get so many beats, don't go using them all up too fast" I should live to over 100 I reckon ;-)
As Max said to Paddy. You only get a bucket an' half.

Is that right? Asked Paddy.

That's all I got... replied Max.

Re: FS: EMG 81 85 set

OK. Danny's told me I can just make up the loom myself. Not sure about the pickup clips but I'll give it a go. Also, it's sod's law that the height adjustment screws on my Epiphone won't be the same thread / size as the EMG. Small things that drive you nuts....

PM me bank info. Thanks.

Re: FS: EMG 81 85 set

Wonder if I should put these in my Epi. Is the loom easy enough to source?

Can I say sold subject to finding out about the loom? I'll know by this evening.

When I had my major AF attack my heart was hitting 235-230....ED nurses were panicking. They stopped my heart then restarted it. Bugger all effect. Didn’t drop to below 200 until 4 hours later. Lucky to be here (more than once). Haven’t had this kind of event for many years now...just the heart att...
