Re: What's a Mesa Boogie Mark IV A worth do ya reckon?
Sold it pretty quick for $1600, so probably could have pushed that to $1800 but not much more. You're right, with the V's simulating the previous models and the other options out there, it's a tough amp to sell. It's also freakin heavy (40kg). I'm glad it's gone to someone who will use it...and I'll...

Re: What are you gassing for?
Who's made the move from real amps to amp simulators? I'm seriously considering moving to a setup based completely on Amplitube 4 (or similar)...
I have the free version and a good I/O and it's freaking awesome so far.

Ik Multimedia iRig Stomp I/O
Hi all, Anyone have experience using the iRig Stomp I/O? It actually seems like a pretty good deal, seeing as you get the IO interface HW plus Amplitube 4 Deluxe software... I'm using Amplitube CS (free version) with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo that my friend gave me and so far I think it's awesome. C...

Re: Anyone got a fuzz factory?
I have a fuzz factory I built with the proper germanium resistors etc, I find its a hard beast to tame, occasionally it goes off into madness all on its lonesome, much prefer the Fuzz God I got from you  Yeah, I have to agree that normally what I get out of my fuzz factory does not really ...

Hehehe...oh I believe it. Incoming hard-core arguments against from those in retail / distribution.
Still NZers pay, so why would anything change?
...maybe with awesome ideas like YouShop prices will regulate naturally

Re: Mesa Boogie Mk IV (1992)
Thanks for the input. It definitely seems like the market isn't there right now...but then I'm not in a rush at all so I might just put it up at $3k and wait for one of the big fish :) I've had some people from various music equipment shops also suggest between $2-3k. Who knows when that market is g...

Re: Anyone got a fuzz factory?
I've got a Fuzz Probe. It has got heaps and heaps and heaps of different sounds. One thing with them is that you've got to write down your settings, because it has got so many possibilities, it is very hard to find your settings again. if you're prepared to muck around with it, there'll be somethin...

Re: Mesa Boogie Mk IV (1992)
I plugged it into my mesa quad, it was just the thought of lugging a combo and a head, though in reality, I totally could have survived with just the combo.....I'm just used to the half stack thing. Geez, I get the lugging related concerns. The Mark IV combo is 40kg - and that's without the roadcas...

Re: Mesa Boogie Mk IV (1992)
I would have bought it if it was maybe a 2x12 (I'm usually a head and quad kinda guy). The Mark IV combo has one 8 ohm and 2 x 4 ohm outs. The internal speaker is plugged into the single 8 ohm out normally, but if you want to add another cab you transfer the internal speaker to one of the 4 ohm out...

Re: Mesa Boogie Mk IV (1992)
Not a great time to sell right now as the used market is really not that vibrant. By all rights, in better times you should be able to sell this amp, with roadcase for around the $3,000-$3,500 mark. Right now though, I would estimate $2,000-$2,500 is about what you're gonna achieve for it. Just my ...

It's got an apple sticker on the other side which, unfortunately, subtracts that $200...jeremyb wrote:Fender sticker should add $200 tho'!
