Re: 1974X 18 watt - StewMac kit
Oh, I thought you were wanting to sell it? I have no idea what such things are worth, but all the non branded amp circuits, as cool as they may be are going for less and less it would seem. None of the ones I’m watching on tm are selling at all! My friend would love this as a project though, so if ...

IMG_20240319_084400_HDR.jpg That’s exactly how it unfolded. One of the reasons I always wrap my lead through my st...

Re: My very own gibson shocker
Nope. Not yet but you're on the right track. Do it again in white or whatever is there already and cut the neckward side to match the curve of the pickguard. Funny you should say that, because that’s exactly what I threw half a dozen test iterations at and they alllllll looked poos Then I bow to yo...

Re: My very own gibson shocker
I little bit of work by a suitably qualified pro and that thing would be playing a treat. It's gorgeous. P.S. Them breaking just comes with the territory. Mahogany territory. I've been lucky with Gibson since the '80s, but the one Les Paul I gave to my nephew broke the day he graduated school and p...

Re: My very own gibson shocker
So whats the verdict? Shocker or rocker ?
Its solid and it works.
I tried to give it a shape that reflected the aesthetic that was allready in the design.

My very own gibson shocker

Thought about fancy wood plugs and matching mahogony etc etc but quickly came to the reaslisation thats beyond me.

Re: Large Headstocks on Strats
I don’t like anything on a strat, except maybe magma.
But at least a giant headstock increases its chances of being struck a meteor or flying debris. So I’m a fan
