Re: Increasing the width between strings

not sure what the charge is these days, I do all my own nut work. I can do you one if you want, I'll charge in beers lol You'll need a blank though, I'm all out of stock! I should visit my butcher, but I only ever see him when I want sausage casings or bone for nuts, I feel guilty ;) I'll have a hu...

Re: Increasing the width between strings

Thank you all for the helpful advice! I reckon I'll try a wider spaced nut to start with and see how that goes.

BG suggested getting a luthier to cut a new nut, any ballpark idea how much a basic nut would cost?

Increasing the width between strings

I've had this Hondo strat for a couple of years now and it plays really nicely. However, the space between the strings is a little on the narrow side for me. I've measured this against other guitars I have and they all have a little more width between the strings. The width between the strings is at...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

Good to see a mids push on that Boss EQ! Are they very hissy? Yes, but it’s only noticeable if running higher gain, or cranked/attenuated. Typically occurs when moving a slider away from the mid notch - even if lowering the slider. I’ve been down the mod rabbit hole - including the Dexter quiet mod...

Same here! The first time hearing cherub rock when i think i was 11 or 12 and hearing that thick layered fuzz was a revelation

Good to see a mids push on that Boss EQ! Are they very hissy? I use one too Mike, mainly as a clean boost https://www.nzguitars.com/forum/download/file.php?id=24024 I've read that some of the older ones can be a bit noisy but mine doesn't add much noise at all so long as you keep the volume on it a...

My new little board set up (excluding the ge150), covers everything i need....... for now https://i.ibb.co/Bw7ggjy/IMG-20220616-154612.jpg What are your favourite sounds on the MS70CDR? I've noticed a lot of people use them with synths as well. I really like some of strange reverbs on there; mangle...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

Good to see a mids push on that Boss EQ! Are they very hissy? Nah no hiss at all with those settings. If I push them a little higher and/or if I increase the master level then it gets a little noisier. I've considered getting a modded one that's supposed to be quieter but the standard ge7 works gre...

Bloody love the zoom multistomps. If i was restricted to a one-pedal-board (in a standard small pedal format) i'd go with the MS70CDR

Smashing Pumpkins recording Mellon Collie

Came across this video earlier today. Half of it is a brief history of the pumpkins leading up to mellon collie, the other half is them making mellon collie interspersed with interviews with the band and live footage. Good little watch :)
