Quality control, etc.
Uniclo did some pretty cool ones a couple years ago:

Anyway to get back on track... Not really a LP but here's a 1960 single cut Melody Maker: https://i.imgur.com/rL23fnw.jpg Bill Steer from Carcass always played one in the later years so I always wanted to get one. https://guitar.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/bill-steer@1400x1050-696x522.jpg (Pretty...

One trend I noticed over the last 10 years is the guys repping boutique 7 strings on social media would jump ship the split second when Schecter or Ibanez offer them a deal.

These kids are probably playing LTD and Schecters though.

What’s the bobbin colour underneath? If they’re black I wouldn’t bother.

Bitbull wrote: Sun Jan 21, 2024 2:31 pm Yes same - I have those in all my guitars - would like to have gold on this one - do you know if Dunlop makes them that way or they can interchange with schaller?
Schaller and Dunlop aren’t compatible.

Neck is fairly slim. 2.75kg. Very punchy sounding P90.

Does it have 498/490 or Bill Lawrences (PCB backplate)? I'd go for the Aldrich over 498/490 but the BL's sounded pretty cool.

The show ran for a whole season. Gibson also made a lot less of them after they fixed the design for whatever reason. So they've suddenly became a bit more rare.

Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread

Looking for a 60th R9...but it's missing?! Dong Hua has that one I think? Good info. My hands are telling this is even more monstrous than the BBR7's. I'll get me callipers out in the weekend. When I bought my BBR5 I had to pick between that and a 50th Anni 68 Reissue. Went for the '55 since I alwa...

68 Reissues were only made "correctly" after 2014. All previous ones are basically BBR7 with a maple cap.

Re: Relish guitars files for bankruptcy

They probably should've stick to the alternative material niche instead of trying to branch into wooden guitars. Guys like Aristides and EGC are still thriving.

Or maybe being a wood/alternative material hybrid it appealed to neither crowds?

Re: Hi! Happy New Year, First Post and LPC question

I have 4 LPC's. 1979, 1990 and 2 Historics from the 2010's. I reckon the main specs to look into are: mahogany cap (50's reissues) VS maple cap (most of them) mahogany neck (most of them) VS maple neck (late 70's) I'm ok with richlite fretboard but resale can be tough. 70's are not worth what people...
