I think your expectations might be out of alignment. There'd easily be thousands of guitarists not that far from you who like a bit of U2 and have probably played around in covers bands etc. But for a tribute band what you are looking for is a serious, serious, bordering on obsessive U2 devotee gui...

whats the advantage in having reverb and tremolo in the same unit? One of the things that is frustrating about the majority of these multi voiced/effect booteek units is the lack of midi switching. Grant, i've met Bart on a couple of occasions (he was one of the founders of Robin Guitars & Rio Grande pickups).. nice guy :)

Martin OMCPA3 - Spruce/Rosewood with Fishman Aura.
Turns out the sound i've been looking for all along is a Spruce/Rosewood OM.. only gripe is the tiny shallow frets.
