Re: Nail

Yeah that's great news, was all over my socials recently and so nice to see. Although I find it hard to think of Devilskin using a dual neck gibson during a live show :) going to the show tonight. Ill let you know if he uses it. I can see how it fits with their music - they're a pretty versatile ba...

Re: Midi Journey

Morningstar switchers have a very easy and intuitive editor interface. MIDI for guitar players is basically really only three things: - Program Change (PC) which is changing presets - Control Change (CC) which is changing parameter values - Tempo sync (self explanatory) If you have everything setup...

Re: IK Multimedia ToneX

I should add… I remember kemper having similar issues when I got it in 2013, so I assume IKM will make the interface and workflow better in time Haha yeah but with the benefit of a decade of seeing the evolution of Kemper you'd think they could have gone to market with something just a little less....

Re: IK Multimedia ToneX

Got it this afternoon. After spending a few hours with it, some quick thoughts: You get 150 stock captures... Which are all pretty average to my ears. I bought Michael Nielsen's Marshall and ADA packs and... There it is. Just goes to show exactly why I waited until a capture player was available in...

Re: IK Multimedia ToneX

I've got a ToneX Pedal coming in the mail, will report back soon. I've always been more interested in modelling than profiling but this is at such a competitive price point that it's just too attractive not to give it a go.

Re: Does anyone care about NAMM any more? 2023 Thread

A lot of the big brands didn't exhibit this year (we didn't, Fender, Gibson, PRS). Obviously it's a huge cost saving to not attend, but in my (very personal) opinion, if an event like NAMM gets abandoned, we'll miss out on so many of the intangibles of in-person interaction like relationship buildin...

Jump straight into the desktop editor, the user interface on the unit itself is indecipherable. It'll sound great though! My main gigging board for so many years.

Re: Mesa Boogie Mk VII

I'm just not keen on valve amps that contain a whole bunch of silicon chips and firmware, that stuff ages quickly and soon becomes redundant, I'd rather just keep that stuff seperate and replace it when the next great thing comes along. This is absolutely spot on, and makes me itchy. I'm sitting he...

Re: Mesa Boogie Mk VII

And wow, that is quite an amp... Like the presenter said: the three modes on the first channel are all I really need. Yep. But I like that channel 2 & 3 are more open and angry, not just the smooth Boogie violin tone, Some great woody tones in there. Haha therein lies the issue with the Mark se...
