Re: The Gibson Les Paul Model thread
Here's mine. 2022 Les Paul Special. Selected this one because of the grain pattern on the top was quite uniform. However I left it in the sun for a few weeks and it got a bit sunburned with the darker grain coming through. Anyone have this happen to them? https://i.imgur.com/3HFdOBT.jpg 2016 Les Pau...

Re: NGD - Fender Coronado
Thanks fellas, could probably do with taller frets but let’s see how we get along. I did a refret on mine. Was one of two guitars I refretted myself, after which I vowed not to do a third. Was the refret difficult with the bound fretboard? I understand that Fender installed frets sideways in the old...

NGD - Fender Coronado
I've slowed down a bit in terms of GAS but couldn't resist this one. Most likely 1967 given the neck dates however there is some confusion as the serial number starts with a 5 (which would put it in the 70's). However from https://www.frettedamericana.com/product/1967-fender-coronado-ii "Accord...

Re: NAD - Fender 57 Custom Deluxe with Hum
Bit of an update. I noticed that touching the control plate and the back panel seemed to quieten the hum. I initially thought it was my body creating some sort of grounding (probably was). I then tried a wire from the chassis to the bolt that attaches the tube cage to the back panel, see below. That...

NPD JHF1 Gigrig Virtual Battery hack
Little hack to secure the 9 volt input jack to the JHF1 without drilling holes or using too much gaffer tape. The cable passes between the bottom plate and the housing with some tape rolled up either side to make a "channel" so it doesn't squash the cable too much. Gigrig virtual battery f...

Re: NAD - Fender 57 Custom Deluxe with Hum
Update: Wife went out to grab some groceries. Gave me a chance to dime it, bridge the inputs etc etc. Bloody hell - I think I need an attenuator now. Sounds awesome! Having owned a MPC 5E3 clone a while back (one with an annoying hiss) they're an interesting beast to mess around with. The "int...
