Re: Yngwie Saves Fender

You know one thing I've noticed about Ying Way or Ing Vee or whatever it's pronounced is that he's the only Scandinavian I've ever seen that's not hot AF and has curly hair. No wonder he played guitar to the point of no one giving a fuck. didn't most of the guys in Europe (the band) have gurly hair...

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?

Collected this Epi today. $425 with a decent case. I'll be keeping it at work. Sounds a bit ordinary but I'd have to find a bargain set of pickups for it to be worth upgrading. Has push-pull pots but they don't add anything special. Can't fault it otherwise. In areas of wear on the body the satin f...

In that video I have three guitars, two amps (if you count the one I bought on the day), and a cab. I've since sold every bit of it... LOL.

I really deserve the piss takes, eh?

Re: Christchurch Gearfest - Late August 2020?

....so what do these gear fests entail? Is it mostly mutual masturbation, or do you actually get to make some noise aswell? If all goes to plan, I will be friendless by then due to a move to Dunedin, so could be keen. We totally jerk each other off, it's awesome. So many unfamiliar hands......

Is the church available on the 22nd?
Wondering if we should get a bit more of a commitment of numbers before I ask?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2mLoNw5kqHg First play through my new amp! Recorded just with iPhone but I’m Sure I’ll do something better later when I get some time. Sounds pretty good through my 2x12 actually but I’d still Like a matching 4x12 just because! Oh man! Next gearfest is going to be so...

Re: NGD • 2018 Gibson LP Standard Historic Collection

I think the vibrational feel of an instrument can be a very important thing. Recorded, two guitars may sound the same but if one 'resonates ' more underhand, it will feel the better instrument.
I should ad that 'feel' and 'sustain ' are very different things.

Re: Experience with 2020 Epiphone LP?

Welcome! Epiphones are generally pretty good for the money, they may need some setting up but if you buy second hand that may already be done and they'll be cheaper too! Don't discount a second hand Gibson either. There's normally not much difference between a new Epi lp standard and a second hand G...
