Re: Show us your pedalboard

Something slightly different. Been meaning to show off the power of a loop switcher for solo guys like myself. This is a one-take recording, so all effects are being switched in and out (and presets changed) in real time. The only thing that's over-dubbed is the melody on top, and that's only cos m...

Re: The Acoustic Thread

Yep that is so far out of financial reach for me as to be undesirable.... My sister found a second hand one for $19,000. Doesn't really help much. Much more so than with electrics, in the acoustic world there's a demonstrable correlation between performance and price. I've never gone quite that far...

Re: The Acoustic Thread

oh my world!! did I see the price correctly?!?!?! this makes Gibson Murphy Labs historic reissues seem affordable I'm Gassing for a Nylon crossover acoustic electric; pretty limited field, especially in NZ. Obviously there's the Lowden Jazz but thought I'd check out Goodall. I've only met a couple ...

Haha! Would have been even more obvious if the next guitar was in shot too.
Go on then....

I've only met a couple of Goodalls but one of them is in my thoughts almost every day. And yes, they do one! https://reverb.com/item/6696...

The middle layer makes sense to me.
But only the middle layer.

Re: What's on your work bench?

Still, if anyone knows where I can source NOS rubber bands for this model, please do tell. Great job on the resurrection! Could you use o-rings? The counter rubber is round so o ring might work. Gotta be a mighty big one though. The flywheel one is flat about 5mm high and ~ 1mm thick Some O ring su...

Apparently very loud! The GK 250ml was amp for the guitars on Irons Maidens Somewhere in Time album.
They seem to have a cult following.
The original lunchbox amp. 100watt little monster.

It's arrived! My goodness this amp is so nice. The tremolo is absolutely gorgeous 😍 IMG_20230913_163634_HDR.jpg Jansens can be such spectacularly underrated amps. The depth and warmth of the tremolo leaves my 6/40 for dead. Take note of the valve doing the wobble. In my Harmony amp, the glass makes...

Re: The Acoustic Thread

Love the Q&A on that one. That chinese clone guy seems to pop up on every Martin listing suggesting that the Martin you are selling is a fake. I get the impression that he is trying to drive the selling price down. Has anyone ever actually seen a fake Martin ? Many. They're called Sigmas. I am ...

Re: The Acoustic Thread

Jay, that was my prognosis too. The back is warped. I'm no expert here, but I'd imagine a repair would involve taking the back off completely, then trying the flatten those two warped pieces, then refitting (or possibly replacing) them. I think it would be a nightmare. I see Studio 1 bought it. I s...
