Re: Just bought a Helix LT - any users here?

OG helix user here. Doubt I have much to share other than ownhammer just freebie'd some Mesa 4x12 cab IRs. Also worth grabbing the Line6/65amps IRs from the Line6 site.

Re: Helix Native - Line 6 Helix in Plugin Format!

i'll be interested to see the uptake of this with existing helix owners, it's heavily discounted (75% off) for registered helix owners but i'd imagine a lot of us actually use the helix as the 8in/8out audio interface as well. Regardless, it's cool AF that helix is becoming a suite/framework. A++ wo...

Re: Band Documentaries

The Tom Petty doco on Netflix is worth every second of the 4hr runtime. Thoroughly recommend.

Re: Headrush Pedalboard

I've played to a variety of audiences over the years, and by far the most clear and present threat to my gear has been myself and my band. Don't put your beer bottles on your half-stacks, and don't keep em by your pedalboard. Stages can be bouncy, players can get over-enthusiastic. Punters are a dis...

Re: Line6 Heeeeeelix!

for those keeping track at home, it's now plain to see that each update is crowdsourced based on the squeakiest wheels with it's users. 2.0 update added Mk 4, matchless and scenes (among other stuff), now in 2.10 we have dumble-esque, SD1 & autoengage (and other stuff) Interesting how the idea s...

Re: Line6 Heeeeeelix!

For rehearsal I'll be standing my L3 up on end where i used to place my halfstack. For shows i might just rely on FOH. We typically only play at Backbeat which has excellent stage monitoring. Will try that first and maybe bring the L3 for side-fill if absolutely needed. Although the prospect of &quo...

Re: Line6 Heeeeeelix!

Don't monitor from the headphone output. Such a huge difference, it's awful and IMO the only let down of the device. Hopefully this gets dealt to now that snapshots and editor are off the backlog ive had mine since early Jan and still keep my patches VERY simple. Most complex thing i do now is spli...

Re: Line6 Heeeeeelix!

There's some reasoning behind it that I can't remember, but run your IEMs of the main 1/4 or XLR outs.

There were 30odd pages of bitching about it in the TGP megathread before everyone piled onto the pre 2.0 tuner granularity.

Re: Line6 Heeeeeelix!

ive had mine since early Jan and still keep my patches VERY simple. Most complex thing i do now is splitting off a separate path the the 1/4' outs without the cab/IR so i have patches versatile enough to run into backline FX returns when needed. This means i have to keep delays/verbs before the cab/...

Re: NGD! (Further PRS content)

Perhaps it's actual coil splitting instead of coil tapping? I had the two terms confused for nearly 10 years with my McCarty. World of difference between the two terms as it turns out. Splitting makes it a single coil, tapping just takes away a percentage of the copper coil winds, giving it differen...
