Re: The Jansen Bassman - Your Experience
I always wondered how a dropping a soldano hod mod or mr scary would go haha I've got a hotmod, just no Jansen laying around. Anyone know if the pres are wired with cathode follower, think thats one of the needs for the hot mod to work. Annoyingly none of my 7 valve amps or any of the ones at my pr...

Re: The EQ thread
I got an Ibanez pteq earlier in the year.
Has a lot going on as far as parametrics go, 5 bands all with adjustable freq and q, and I quite like the graphic sliders still for the boost cut as its a little bit more familiar as an interface

Re: Forums have been slow, how about a 'In the mail' thread?
Just arrived Cool, did it come with different types of Pickups to slide in? Just the one in it, not sure if this model came with more than 1. Its a 1971ish electra copy. based on research by my mate I bought it off, they do fit the dan Armstrong pickups, so may try hunt some down or see if there is...

Reaper. Free trial for as long as you want (I paid after using for over 5 years),easy to get started. I'm no expert so don't know how much it can do, but definitely isn't a trimmed down starter daw that you'll have to upgrade from after a while.

Re: Recent NGD - Gibson 25/50 LP
Awesome. Love the super 400 inlays. Hard to get one of these south of 10k NZD nowadays. I bet the neck is more chunky than the SG2000? Yeah prices on reverb are super high now, got this for much less, not really a collector piece due to non original parts and some cosmetic damage, so was a little n...

Yeah nice 5 piece flame maple, but don't really see the back that often. Fortunately I think the front looks pretty decent as well.StrummersOfThunder wrote: ↑Wed Dec 06, 2023 12:18 pm Very cool

Re: Recent NGD - Gibson 25/50 LP
Holy shit - look at the size of that control cavity - imagine how much you could stash…. No I didn't notice that - do you have any pics of inside the cavity? :-) Missing the ashtray cover, but think the rest may be original (I'm no expert). The massive cavity is to fit the mini coil split switch, t...

Re: Recent NGD - Gibson 25/50 LP
Super sweet. How did you get it home? He hid it in his large control cavity! :mental: Had discussed that otpion, but it would take a bit of lube and 10hour flight may be a little too long. The store had plenty of experience packaging to ship overseas, so the dude padded out the case, chucked in a b...
