Re: NGD: Bittersweet reunion

Ben, the tone of your post indicates to the other forum members that you paid for the guitar, received it, weren’t happy with it, and then were unable to return it. The tone of the post implies that you had no way to assess the condition before purchase, had been asked to pay a high price for it, a...

Re: NGD: Bittersweet reunion

It’s entirely possible this was purchased solely as an investment, and as such its condition may have been considered irrelevant to the seller, as it was viewed solely as a pot of money.

Re: NGD: Bittersweet reunion

Wow. That is beyond shocking Ben. That’s truly dishonest on behalf of whomever flogged it back to you. Whether it was through maliciousness, laziness or most likely, careless disregard for detail, it’s heartbreaking to receive a guitar in such a punished condition. It will take a while for the bad t...

Re: I think I want a Flint

I had found the hype around Strymon very displeasing, sadly the Flint covers the usefulness yet is one of the few Strymon pedals to actually have character. The verbs definitely sound nicer to me than the Bigsky too.

Thankfully the tails from your fourth delay will cover the time it takes to change the single AA battery.

AKG WMS40 Mini Pro Guitar Wireless

It's imperative as a performer to ensure that you're giving your audience the best possible version of yourself. However, we all know that once you're two shandies deep, you're starting to fall over your oversized lead that's dangling around your malnourished legs, and quite frankly, no one wants to...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

How are you using the switchers at the beginning and end of the chain? Great question. The switchblade plus takes a signal from the tuner, and then splits it to loop a, which runs through the rest of the board, and loop b which goes direct to the B9. The B9 then runs to a DI box and direct to the d...

Re: Show us your pedalboard

some premium toys there! I've always wanted a DOD Vibrothang. And a Deluxe electric mistress! There’s some fun stuff in there for sure! The DEM is glorious, such an underrated pedal. I got it after going on a similar journey to you of needing some nice modulation effects, but in my case, not really...

Re: Volume dropping out

If you’re gigging regularly with the amp, 6 years is a long time for valves. You’d be wanting to change them every year or so ideally. My 1973 Princeton was used every week for the first 30 years and since I've had probably every second week for a jam. Original RCA tubes. But yes, this sounds like ...
