Re: Hello. This is the band that I am in.
Thanks everyone. Really appreciate the time taken to listen.
I am sure there are better examples of influences that might make more sense
but I dunno. We all do what we do.

Hello. This is the band that I am in.
If the mood strikes you, I'd be curious to hear everyone's thoughts on my band. The recordings are just room mic recordings of rehersals. Our influences are band A, band B, etc, misc and other. I'm not entirely sure, to be honest. I take my cues from Sonic Youth and some shoegaze bands. The other pe...

Re: Show us your pedalboard
This is my very basic, cheap pedal "board" It is in direct relation to my lack of money to spend upgrading things. I am in the midst of constructing my own actual board, though as things are getting a bit too much to just plonk things on the stage floor. I also use an ebow a lot in my band...

C shape barre chords are the most fun to play.
Re: Earvana
Sounds like something ze germanz would come up with.
I'll stick with with my normal sounding guitar. It's sweeter.

Re: Listening recommendations
You could always try Last.fm.
Get an account, put in all the music you like and it lists recommendations for you.
I do it and it's a fun way to discover music.

Re: What are you loving right now?
I pretty much fell in love with this woman. Shannon Wright.
She's pretty amazing and one of my favourite guitarists.
I have an absurd amount of plays on my last.fm of her in comparison to other musicians/acts/baby.

Re: The Jakob Thread
I keep meaning to get into them. One of the only nz bands that has really ever interested me. What I've watched on youtube is pretty good. I have low expectations for people from Hastings/Napier and they seem to fit in with all the big chaps/chapettes. I've never been able to find a cd of theirs tho...

Re: Seeking experienced, creative guitarist
to be honest, you sound like a terrible person to be in a band with unless of course you state beforehand that it is YOUR band I am not sure if you've done that, this also isn't meant to sound like an insult although I know it may come across like that it would be really unfulfilling to be in a band...
